1) mobilize /ˈmoʊbəˌlaɪz/ verb
1. [+ object] : to bring (people) together for action
• The President mobilized [=rallied] his supporters.

2. [no object] : to come together for action
• Several groups have mobilized to oppose the proposed new law.
• They have the ability to mobilize quickly.
3. [+ object] : to make (soldiers, an army, etc.) ready for war
• The government had to mobilize the army quickly.
